Great Tits, Blue Tits and even the odd Coal Tit have been inspecting the box over the autumn and winter, but this is the first time one has pecked at the entrance.
This is a male Great Tit - possibly the same one who nested here last year - and he'll be doing this to try and attract the female into the box. A few times he nearly enters the box, but it looks like his partner wasn't that interested this time. |
