Humans are not the only animal that can get spooked by strange noises in the night. An over-curious chick tapping at the wall puts mum in full defence mode! It takes her a few minutes to settle down, but then a another noise from outside gets her going again.
The chicks are getting really difficult to sit on now, and she's spending part of the night off the nest cup. It won't be long before she'll roost elsewhere and the chicks will spend their first night alone. |

| - have you written about the brick lraeys before? no wait, i think i heard it in a church sermon before. its great how sometimes other peoples stories, become your own stories, and you cannot remember when or where they started, just that they are meaningful to you and they help you to press on.some jobs appear more glamorous than others, but you're right.. we often overlook all the struggle that goes behind it. i think my job feels the most UNglamorous, nevertheless, there are the crucial moments that are heartbreaking yet rewarding, which remind me how God created each of us for a purpose. and i think its probably the same revelation for all the other rockstarlifestyles as you may say. you should write more. although i know you don't have time. =) i miss the xanga days! |
